An air of ecstasy

The wind started to whistle in my ears,
A song of joy, a pleasant scent it bears,

A tree nearby burst into laughter fits,
As the wind rustled through its leaves,

The trees on the hill side looked awesome
Dancing a ballet swiftly over the rhythm

The golden barley far off waved at me
Cheerfully to say ‘hey…look at me’

Above me was the sky’s pencil sketch,
Smoky clouds touching the hill on edge,

‘Where to?’, I asked the doves flying by
But they were in much hurry to reply

Drop by drop the rain started to trickle down

I Spread my arms to grab the blessing pouring down.

My last poem

I’m giving it all up, I’m walking out,
this uneven road we’re destined to walk,
I care no more if the sun shines,
Or it keeps raining all the way long,

I’m tired of trying and trying again,
Rising up over and over again,
Then falling flat all over again,
And losing with nothing to gain,

For once I want to really lie down,
And assure myself this time around,
‘You broke, you lost, you trembled’,
And like cowards I want to breakdown,

As these tears, my eyes shed,
An icy wind freezes me dead,
At this point, this moment, this time span,
With these last words from my pen.
